PTFE & BACK-UP

PTFE is not a rubber compound, but rather, a white thermoplastic resin capable of being formed into a variety of shapes either by molding or machining. Since PTFE is impervious to virtually all fluids and gases, this premium grade material is frequently designated for harsh chemical environments where no rubber material is suitable. PTFE can withstand extreme high and low temperatures and exhibits very low moisture absorption. It also features the lowest coefficient of friction of any seal material. A drawback with PTFE is its tendency to deform under a continuous load, a phenomenon often referred to as creep or cold flow.

Our PTFE O-Ring Kit has a 325 piece assortment of a variety AS568 sizes. The convenient contents identification card lists sizes and dimensions on the front and shows silhouettes on the back.

The material is 55 Durometer (Shore D) Virgin PTFE. AS 568 sizes and quantities include:
