A few years ago the U.S. government joined a global consortium mandating the replacement of all CFC type refrigerants with alternatives having lower ozone depleting properties. This became the basis for introducing the R134a refrigerant to the automotive industry. 

High Performance Seals offers this 200 piece assortment of O-Rings with the twelve most popular automotive A/C sizes. The material used for this kit is a green, highly saturated nitrile or HNBR. HNBR provides exceptional resistance to R134a refrigerant and high operating temperatures, as well as resistance to synthetic oils for lubrication within the compressor.
