PREMIUM LOADED U-CUP

Premium loaded U-cups have two integrated seals so they provide improved low pressure sealing. A primary seal element is inserted in the base seal and they use the elastomeric energizer to provide even more effective low pressure sealing. This is a popular seal choice where systems operate in extremely low temperatures and leakage occurs prior to the system warming up. They’re used with both piston and rod seals. Premium U-cups seal on both inside and outside diameters by means of two flared, flexible lips in contact with the rod or cylinder wall. Dynamic contact surfaces should have a finish of 8 - 16 RMS.
