DUAL PURPOSE

Essentially, dual purpose wipers are wipers with a built-in rod seal. They're designed by adding a U-cup seal at the base of the wiper. In this design, the rod seal typically is not as robust as a loaded U-cup or even an unloaded U-cup. However, in low pressure pneumatic applications, the dual purpose wiper can replace both a rod seal and wiper, reducing costs.
