BACK-UP SPLIT PTFE

In high pressure environments, single turn PTFE back-up rings help control O-Ring extrusion. Because they are virtually chemically inert, these PTFE back-up rings are compatible with all hydraulic fluids. They are also useful in applications involving elevated operating temperature conditions. Even if extrusion is not a problem, PTFE back-up rings are useful in greatly improving O-Ring performance and extending service life.

This kit has 36 compartments containing 325 single turn back-up rings in 36 different MS28774 sizes. The 22° scarf cut style facilitates installation. The material is 55 durometer (Shore D) PTFE. A contents identification card lists the size and dimensions of each ring.
